Viruses of microbes

Section Editor: Joana Azeredo, University of Minho, Portugal
Deputy Section Editor: Małgorzata Łobocka, Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego, Poland

The Viruses of microbes section of Virology Journal is home to articles on all aspects of virology pertaining to viruses infecting bacteria, archaea, algae, protozoa, fungi and other viruses. A large part of the virosphere is made up of viruses infecting other microbes. We welcome contributions to the structure of these viruses, their activity, their regulation and the interaction with their microbial hosts, including host immunity. Applications of microbial viruses or their gene products in human and animal health or industrial and ecological applications are also welcome.
